Shiraz

A charming antique Shiraz rug dating to around 1915, handwoven by the tribal weavers of the Khamseh confederation in southern Iran. Known for their expressive tribal designs and richly colored palettes, Khamseh Rugs are admired for their individuality, warmth, and strong decorative character.

This early 20th-century example features traditional geometric motifs and a well-balanced tribal composition, reflecting the authentic weaving style passed down through generations. The naturally aged dyes have softened beautifully over time, giving the rug a warm, time-worn patina that enhances its character.

Offered in fair antique condition, the rug shows visible wear consistent with age and use over more than a century. Areas of pile loss and general wear are present, but it retains its structure and remains a decorative and authentic tribal piece with genuine historical appeal.
