Bidjar

A hand-knotted Bidjar runner, woven in north-west Persia in a region renowned for producing some of the most durable and finely crafted Persian rugs. Often referred to as the “Iron Rugs of Persia,” Bidjar rugs are prized for their dense weave, exceptional longevity, and elegant village designs.

This example features a deep navy field decorated with an all-over arrangement of stylised floral and geometric motifs, framed by a warm terracotta border filled with traditional Persian designs. The harmonious combination of navy, terracotta, soft ivory, and pale blue creates a timeless and balanced appearance, making it an excellent choice for a hallway, entrance, or narrow living space.
